Lessons
The Peterborough Sailing Club has been introducing newcomers to the sport of sailing through formal sail training programs for 20 years. Lessons are offered annually for both adults and children. All instruction is based on the Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) certification program, and students are eligible to obtain the CYA's White Sail Level III certification at the end of the program. With your White Sail III, you will feel confident of your ability to rig a dinghy and to sail safely and enjoyable on all points of sail.
Our instructors are certified by the CYA and they are supervised by a member of the Club executive. With a maximum of 12 students in the session, everyone will receive individualized attention.
Sailing lessons for youth begin June 30, 2008 and continue during the first two weeks of July. Adult sailing lessons will be held over a three week period beginning June 10th. Evenings are staggered to minimize conflicts with other interests.
